If/when he has a U.S. passport in hand he should contact the nearest British consulate with the question.
Obtaining passports can be somewhat time consuming and considering his circumstances he might consider using a service after he ascertains that he can obtain one. Also, unpaid child support can keep you from obtaining a passport.
What do you think about the TSA putting people and journalists who criticize them on the no-fly list?

You're reading My US boyfriend wants to visit my family but was convicted of a felony in 1984 which is now spent. Will he be allowed into the UK for a 2 week visit, and will he need a visa or special permission to enter?
