I just bought a sanyo LCD DP42848 hooked it up and turned on power light comes on for about 30 seconds and goes off and nothing comes up on screen any ideas?

The mainboard is damaged, return it to the store inmediatly and get a new one.

sounds like a another bad inverter/lamp drive board - hope you kept your reciept and return it to the store promptly
