If you count Babysitting, I did that when I was 12 for neighbor's kids. If not, then my first "real" job was the Christmas Vacation I turned 14..for two weeks I had a job in the back of a clothing store putting together various size boxes. The arrived to the store in huge carton all flattened and you had to work on them. So that's what I did. I got my first real "salary"..I never considered babysitting money "salary". I felt very grownup, I'll tell ya! :)
worked at the local golf country club, picking up and waiting on allthe local rich people, Hated it and could care less for those rich idiots back then, even had to shine shoes a bit for them, for some reason they thought they could pat my backside back then in the late 60s
8pm-2am working the drive-thru at Taco Bell. Ohhh, the interesting characters that come through there after the bars close...
My first job was as a Store Keeper in an Ice cream parlour, i think it was a cool job
I started working at a dry cleaners when I was about 14 years old and I have had a job ever since.
Working at a second-run movie theater. Lots of fun...ridiculously low pay.
First job was a dishwasher at $4.50 an hour! Worst job of my life, but what do you expect at 16?
I was 12 years old and had a paper route.
I saved to buy my first guitar with that job.
working as a game attendee at the exhibition (C.N.E.)
My first 'real' job was delivering newspapers in an apartment building.
Most of the time, I liked it, especially because the manager and his wife were so nice.
Their son had a crush on me and I used to bring my sister or brothers with me so I wouldn't have to be alone with him. It was so funny!
I also met many different people, some of whom very nice, and some who were interesting.
There was one man who really took to me and my siblings and he would treat us like we were his kids ( he was single and had no children of his own).
He 'made up' jobs, just to keep us around and happy.
I also got a job babysitting from this one couple. They reminded me of Sonny and Cher because she was so tall and he was short.
I have a lot of good memories from this job. :)
My first job was delivering newspapers. I did this all through High School. After HS I worked at the May Co. department store as a stock boy. I liked both jobs. Since then I held a number of different jobs, but all of them either did not satisfy me or I was not suited to them. So to sum up--my life was crap.
Well my first job was at Taco Bell. I liked going to work and didn't mind it. I was 17 years old.
