  • I don't think so. Many people say their lives have been changed by the power of prayer.
  • There are three possibilities: 1) There is a god and that god noticed your suffering and decided to cure you. 2) It was mere coincidence. 3) By wishing that your pains went away, you may have triggered some effect (maybe the placebo effect, maybe some real chemical reaction) that cured you. I think it was probably item two, although it might have been item three.
  • Yes, I have asked Deity to remove pain, and it has happened. This can easily be explained by both religious and secular (psychological) explanations, so I just enjoy the effect.
  • When you pray, you must pray with sincerity. In your situation, it sounds like you were, and so this is the end result. So no, this was not a coincedence. I had a devil that was bothering me a few weeks ago, I prayed with everything I had. After I prayed I felt a sense of security and safetiness. Since then, I have never had any further problems. The power of a prayer is very strong.
  • Not if you believe in him...Everything happens for a reason.
  • Yes, coincidence. Why would god stop your stomach ache whilst allowing thousands of children to die of starvation.
  • I think God answers every prayer. It's either Yes or No. We don't like the No's but we get over it. Anyways, I've asked God for several things in my life, all of which I never received, but if I had received them I probably wouldn't be where I am today and I'm in a good place in my life. Back to the stomach pain, do you have back pain accompanied by this stomach pain by chance?
  • I have asked God to take away a migraine of mine, but more often I plead for my young son who has a lot of physical problems and pain. I wish I could say he answered immediately, but I can't.
  • No, I asked him to take away the pain I went through in school, being bullied every day when I was younger. I prayed and prayed for months, and then... NOTHING HAPPENED. So, no. That hasn't ever happened. And fictional characters can't grant wishes.
  • its called faith, glad you have it dont ever let it go thanks for your testimonial. yes ive had simular things happen to me. GOD bless
  • I had kidney stones that my dr. said COULD NOT be passed naturally and attempting to do so would cause me unbearable pain, and so surgery was scheduled for the next day. My pastor came down to the hospital to pray for me and also to keep my husband company in the wait room. During pre-surgery x-rays, my stones were not visible. I still had to go through surgery to be sure they were gone, but my Dr. could not fathom how they had just disappeared without me noticing at all.
