When did you get your first cell phone and was it just because or because you walked home or something.

    I got mine because my wife got 2 with her contract and she wanted us to be able to get in touch with one another at any time.

    I got my first cell phone out of necessity. I was a new mom and wanted to do whatever I could to keep my baby daughter safe. Soon afterwards, I got shafted by my home phone company and they wouldn't reverse a few charges. Since that time I have had no home phone service at all. I haven't missed it!
