How about double-sided tape? And those foam-like stickers may do the trick too. I remember my professor using those things before. So what kind of wall are you posting it on anyway? Is it smooth and flat?

If you don't mind your walls of the posters getting a few holes in them, thumb tacks work just fine.
Also, they have these things made special for posters, don't try those. they're like foamy stickers. I forget what they're called. You stick one side to the poster and the other to the wall. They work pretty well until you take them down. If you don't put the right side on the wall and the right side on the poster, the foam will either stick to the poster and come cleanly off the wall, or it will come off the poster and will not come off the wall and you'll have to 'chunk' off the foam from the wall. Also, on various occasions, they have pealed the paint off my walls.
But when all else fails, use clear tape over just the edges of the poster and tape them to the wall.

You're reading What's the best way to put up posters? I'm using blue-tack but they won't stay up properly, and it ruins the poster's edges when I have to put them up again. Aswell as that they won't stay up straight (air bubbles keep creeping in and bend the posters.)

Ah I see, thanks.
Yeah it's a smooth and flat (enough) wall, but it's rock solid which is why I can't hang up clocks or anything.
