  • Yes. Put her to sleep a year ago. December 12, 2007. She was 17 yrs old. My only dog I had ever had. Now I have another little dog and love her dearly. Which is good because I didn't think I could ever love another animal the way I loved my dog Brittany. She was my baby before I had a baby. Also a Cat named Shasta who died at 13 yrs old. +5

  • Yes, I had ... or rather they had me, two cats that both lived for 22 years. Their names put together is the name in my e-mail address. I also raised oversize Bouvier des Flanders, 150 lbs+ each. The last one died 5 years ago, and I will miss them until the day I die.
  • Last year I lost my beautiful 17 year old cat Bijou. She was what is considered a "heart pet". That is the animal equivalent of a soul mate. I have had cats all my life and will continue to have them but never one like her. She left a hole in my heart which will never heal. If you would like to see her you can do so at http://www.tributememorial.net Thank you for asking this. I love an opportunity to think and talk about her. If you have lost a heart pet you might want to check out the Dealing With Grief section of my website. It has lots of advice and suggestions on how to deal with your loss.
  • There are several pets I'll never forget, but one special cat will be with me forever, I still mourn his passing.
  • Someone put poison out for the pets on our street. We lost four cats, next door lost her two dogs, I'll never forget!
  • My Great Dane, Titus. I loved that dog so much. I still wish he was with me. :(
  • My first pet when I was in Elementary school a little Black and White hamster named Chip :) Who ended up dying one day after my aunt cleaned our house and the fumes of one of the cleaners poisend him. So I held him in my hands while he shivered and slowly turned more cold, and a couple hours later it hit me like a truck and I couldn't stop crying over the lil guy :(
  • I don't remember.
  • Definitely. I had a Hymilayian cat named Skuttles, who had been mistreated when he was little. It took him several months to warm up to me after he came to live with me, but I eventually won him over. He and I became best buddies. He died last year while I was visiting my children in North Carolina. I still miss him. : (

  • I had my pwn cat once. his name was Chocolate because his fur was made up of different shades of brown. He was my living teddy bear; he loved climbing into bed with me and sharing the pillow. he ran away and was gone for 3, maybe 4, months. I prayed an awfull lot. Than during late spring he showed up on our deck. He ran off again about 6-7 years ago and haven't seen him since. he should be, 15+ years old now.
  • Yeah. Aifa, My cat. was born on my 9th birthday and we didnt even know cifa(the mum) was pregnant. • You bet I did...my Nikki, a silver-grey and white Keeshond who I had as a friend since his birth. He was such a smart and loving pup. I have a very large photographic portrait of him posing in the park --he was such a ham-- on my study wall, which I look at, and even say "Hi" to, almost every day. He definitely ranks way high on my list of wonderful friends gone on. He was the last pet I took into my home. I never want to go through that loss again...and they are not with us long enough. It's like losing a child.
