Question

Help answer this question below.

My cat seems to be very isolated and afraid of even going outside. Does anyone think I should get another cat or small dog(if they can get along) to help her get over her fears and make her healthier? If not, what do you suggest?

Some cats are very afraid of outside because they think you will not let them back in. My cat is terrified of the sound of traffic that you can hear from our garden so I just keep her as an indoor cat, they will live longer too. But if you feel they should be outside then why not buy a cat collar and lead and go out with her or you could even try getting a large rabbit run. If you try these with no success then you could consider getting another pet that likes going out, then maybe her interest will overpower her, good luck, I hope I helped. Also, it's normal for cats to be independant and isolated, they do not rely on anyone else, most don't even get lonely for anthing or anyone, except their owner.

Cats, like people come in a wide variety of personalities.
If you had a shy friend would you force a new person on them to make them healthier?
If you were afraid of the dark would you want someone turning off all the lights plunging you into pitch blackness to help you get over a fear?
    Probably not.
You just may have a shy and sensitive cat. You could try introducing her to the outdoors slowly to see how she handles it, however if it doesn't go over well then why force it?
If she is already antisocial, adding another animal to the mix could just make things worse. She may get more anxious or withdrawn.
Enjoy her for who she is.
Is she eating well? Cleaning herself? Drinking plenty of water? Does she interact with you? If you answered yes then it would seem you just have a shy sensitive sort of cat.

    :)

Seems like ur kitty needs some fun lovin! Get her a small dog or a kitten, but not like a really tiny kitten cuz if she gets annoyed she might chomp its neck and kill it. Get a 9 month or 1 year old kitten for her, and as for the dog don't get something too big. Or get one of those dogs that have the protective trait in them
