Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 2005 Honda accord. I just took it to Honda because the locks were not working. The told me the right door's motor is not working and the multiplex is not working. They want to charge me close to 600 dollars to repair it. Is this normal?

Just an update. When I called Honda back to say that I was going to take it somewhere else, the technician had miraculously called the Honda service department and all that needed to be done was reset the multiflex. Suddenly the price dropped from nearly 600 to 150!!!

Yes. Dealerships usually charge more than your average run-of-the-mill auto shop, and this kind of repair is especially pricey because it requires a lot of disassembling and reassembling (labor is what's driving the cost up). Call around and find a better price.
