Well, there's nothing wise to do, but to throw it away and buy a new one, or if it has valid warranty... This kind of issue is mainly because TV has got old or is really low quality.

I don't know if this will help, my flat screen does that.On the front of my TV is the remote control sensor light I hit that with the remote control and it works again,sometimes I have to hit it a couple of times a night, it is then ok for a few weeks.
