Help answer this question below.

Just curious : ~ Can points be awarded automatically? I've several times had points given for an answer I've barely posted .. like in nano-seconds of posting an answer ... Cant see how it possible manually that's all.

    Nope... Points aren't awarded "automatically".

    There's a "Newly Arrived" link on the home page. When you hit ENTER, and the question or answer is added to the DB, it appears on the home page and there. That gives some fast readers time to read it and rate it, though they won't always answer questions that quickly.

    For answers only, all it takes is for the questioner to refresh the page just after you posted the answer, and many questioners "automatically" give points to answerers.

    These probably occur while you're still waiting for the Thank You page to show up.
