  • Having friends and family that I can turn to is very important to me. I have 1 sister and about 2 friends that know everything about me, and they still love me. I tell them everything. I get important feedback for them. They give me ideas on dealing with situations. Most importantly, they give me unconditional love.
  • Isolation is one of the worse things that can happen to a person. It undermines their confidence, it lessens their perceptions of worth, it makes them feel that they might be alone in their situation. Isolation is thought to lower immune systems in the body, which then leads to poor health. It is important to have a network, a family (not necessarily 'blood'), to know that you are valued. Without others who are empathetic to you, you will languish.
