Help answer this question below.

My 92 chevy corsica WILL NOT turn over, I think the engine locked up on me, what the hell do I do to free it up if it actually is locked up?

u mean the alternator ?...do u just get a click,click or nothin?

- When I turn the key, nothing, no click, no noise, none of the dash lights come on, tried jumping it and same thing.

- when alternator is gone, there is no power, to turn the motor over, to run any lights, nothing...alternator is the power source of a car..it starts the starter...
  first thing i would start with is having the alternator checked...
  make sure of all fluids too, gas,oil,water....
  if u can do ur own, u can go to a salvage yard for parts & get urself and save u loads in parts and mechanic prices...the mechanic work is usually the biggest cost....
  u can always invest in the manuals for ur yr and make of vehicle ...to do urself , which is found at most all auto zones,or car parts dealerships...

- try charging battery, if engine is is seized up through lack of oil, then its had it

- but Lerx, even if battery was dead the alternator would click, right? and yes, no car can run without oil,water or gas...its a no brainer, but i have seen many cars ruined because of people not checking them and thinking oil and water takes care of itself!

- yes if the engine is seized, the bearings have worn away and the metal of the crank/canshaft has fused with the machined surfaces of the block, the short version, it's a boat anchor now
