Promotion is an improvement over your current work status. It could mean more money, more responsibility, more authority, more prestige, a private office, more perks or better work hours or even being moved to a window view. Promotion is usually thought of as a reward for dedication and hardwork. I would never promote someone based on seniorty. Never. Good Luck!

Would you accept a promotion at work if it meant a 20% raise over 5 years but you would have to move to a different city, change your work hours and take on much more responsibility?
