My S/O finishes his apprenticship in ONE year after that i want to move to QLD or some where for a little while but we have just bought a house, am I being silly in thinkin that i can move away for a year or two if i have this house now?

I dont think your being silly. See if you can arrange a house swap or rent yours out.

- no rent is correct...
  i was considering renting the place out, we want to do it up and I guess we can start that while we are here, rent it out then come home and continue doing it up?
  the only thing that scares me is that our house payments are 311 a week. and where I live i think that i would onyl be able to get 200 a week for our house ( our real estate is one of the cheapest in Aust at the moment) so i would be scared to rent that out, and also rent a place where we move... i just do not want to always live here! i want to say i have done stuff, had some experience and enjoyed my life while i am young =]

- well the place i really want to head to is Airlie Beach, which is on the main land where the Whitsundays are! I love it there... ahh the dreams!

You have to live there for at least 6 months (maybe more check) to get any gov grants, other than that do what you want to, rent the house out!

  Do you mean i have to live in my house for 6 months befor ei can rent it out? we have already been in there for 4 or 5 i think, and we cant go any where until the boy finishes his apprenticship in a year. so i hope to fix it up a little bit in that year to get as much as we can for rent =]
