Just because the doctor says that you have the HPV virus, does that mean that you have HPV?

it would make sense considering its your doctor, and he has a degree for this kind of stuff, choosing not to believe him would be a pretty silly idea, at least i think so

There are so many types of HPV and YES beleive your doctor! Thats why they call it a Pap smear is to test for the human papillomavirus. It is way more common than you think! Guys can carry it without knowing at all! Find out what stran it is because some can cause cervical cancer and your dr will most likely want you to get the gardasil vaccine. Be careful not to pass it on that would be very irresponsible of you.

If you have had a pap smear which suggests HPV and had a second pap smear to confirm the first, or if you have visible warts then you need to believe your doctor and follow his/her advice as there are potential serious side effects.

YES, HPV virus is the same as saying the human Papillomavirus virvus. There are many strans. And there are two types oone causes warts which is less harmful, the other type can cause cervical cancer.
