  • No, it won't. I had strep for months. If it's there, has food, and nothing trying to kill it, strep will happily stay.
  • Yes it will eventually...but im sure you would feel alot more comfortable seeing a doctor and getting some antibiotics and pain medicine
  • How do you know its strep throat? Generally our own body's immune systems will deal with most infections and destroy them. However, sometimes infections get the better of us and we need antibiotics - for bacterial infections as anti-viral medications are far less prevalent. As for your sore throat - gargle with an antibacterial mouthwash, drink plenty of water and clean your teeth after eating. These steps will help your body to deal with the infection but if you have it for a further 48 hrs or it worsens so you can't swallow then I would seek medical advice.
  • Possibly, but unless you did a throat culture, how do you know you have strep? If you have a sore throat for a long time, or if you're really weak, or if you can't swallow, it's the right time to see a doctor.
