Can Gameboy and Gameboy Color games be played on a Gameboy Advance?

Yes 1. Original Gameboy(OGB) 2. Gameboy Color(GC) 3. Gameboy Advance & Gameboy SP(GBA) The gameboy systems in that list can play any system above it, so GBA can play OGB games and GC games; but OGB can only play OGB games. However, GBA games are smaller than OGB Games, so the cartrage will stick out slightly; and the OGB's screen is slightly smaller than GBA's screen, so the screen will have unused space on all four sides. Nintendo also released the Dual Screen, which is compatable only with GC & GBA only. It can still play DX titles, like Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue, but nothing released only for the OGB only. There's no real resource for a consumer to figure out which cartrage is a DX title, except by reading the manual with a fine tooth comb.
