Almost all of the world's reefs. They all have something different to offer. Australia's Barrier Reef isn't the only one in the world. The second largest barrier reef is off Belize and Honduras with an extension off Cozumel Mexico. Excellent diving/ snorkeling there. Particularly better suited to snrokeling than the Australian reefs because they're in the lee of the Caribbean islands.
The reef structure off Thailand is another great area for snokeling because it's rather sheltered as well, especially the area around Phuket.
All offer different marine life and culture ashore. Take your pick for the area of the world you'll be in.
The Great Barrier Reef in Australia, I've heard it is good.
My favorite so far has been in Roatan, Honduras. Absolutely gorgeous. My second favorite would be in Belize. I haven't been to Australia to dive the GBR but I look forward to is one day.
The Andros Barrier Reef in the Bahamas was my favorite but I don't have too much to compare it with. It is the third largest barrier reef in the world and just the size of it makes exploring more fun.
Hanauma Bay in hawaii is a wonderfull beach with loads and loads of exotic fish in some of the clearest water i have ever seen. Its incredible.
Cairns and then maybe
Sharm el shek .
