Daniel Radcliffe appears nude during a scene in a play. Do you think this will tarnish his image from the "Harry Potter" series that he starred in?

I think it's a good career move. Harry Potter doesn't go on forever, unfortunately, and it's good for Radcliffe to demonstrate his range. "Equus" is a great and distinguished work. I think anyone who would be put off by his appearing nude was probably already ignoring "Harry Potter" movies because they are about witches and warlocks.

If by tarnish you mean ruin, well, that's what Daniel Radcliffe wants, but to an extent. He doesn't wanna be known as "Harry Potter" forever. By doing this play, Dan is showing everyone that he has amazing acting skills, and they aren't limited to Harry Potter.
"Equus" is a very challenging play, emotionally and psycologically, reading it and acting in it. Since the play is so challenging, they had to choose an amazing actor to play the role of Alan Strang, they chose Daniel Radcliffe. He wants to prove that he's more than Harry Potter. I don't think he needs to prove anything. He really is an amazing actor, and that's why they chose him. They didn't choose him for his body(which by the way is the sexiest thing I've ever seen in my life, I'm makign posters of those extremely high-resolution images they gave us online and putting them around my room!!), anyways, they didn't even see his body when he auditioned. I think Daniel Radcliffe will get more respect from fellow actors, directors and the theatre industry because he is doing this play.
Dan took lot of courage to take the part, because he is doing a nude scene(with another naked co-star, his girlfriend in the play) and there is going to be a very raunchy sex-scene between them, or at least that's what the description of the play is online. Since he is so young, its even more amazing that he's going to appear nude in front of an entire audience of over 200 people per night.
By the way, I AM GOING TO SEE THE PLAY MYSELF ON APRIL 2ND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you people know where my seats are? 2ND ROW FROM THE STAGE, seats B7-B9(my parents are going with me), that's directly in the centre of the stage(facing it from the seats I mean). I am going to be so close to him, I'm going to be so close, if I reach out, I'm going to be able to just barely grab his...(you know what, sorry, I have a very dirty mind). I told my mother she might have to put her hand over my mouth when he comes on stage naked...(again, you can thank that statement to my dirty mind)

I think he looks amazing. The play is a very good one. It won a tony once. Serious acting involved.

I doubt it. "Equus" is a respectable piece of theater that has always had a nude scene. He's already a teen heartthrob from what I've heard, so the girls will probably like it and the boys won't care. His shot at an Oscar for the Potter work is already slim anyway, yes? He wants to be taken seriously, like so many child actors growing up.

Its a classic play being revived. Its not porn, just a nude scene. People need to loosen up.
