Sure, you can get a converter box and use it just for your VCR. The downside is that you'll need to set the converter box for a particular channel and leave it there to record; the VCR will *not* be able to change channels on its own.
After I set the timer, on my Emerson EWD2003 vcr/dvd combo, and turn the machine off, it does not start at the set time?

When I put any videotape in the vcr the tape wont play. When I press play the picture is frozen and nothing works. The audio wont work and instead of it being on SLP, it goes to SP.The tapes wont rewind, fast forward. Whats wrong with it? (2009-11-04)

I have a Panasonic Omnivision VCR. wHEN i SWITCH TO vcr mode the screen is dark and fuzzy. I can't use any buttons on the VCR remote

You're reading I have a 2008 RCA TV with digital and analog properties. My VCR is an older RCA and I was able to program and tape on it before the digital changeover. Now, I cannot tape at all. Does anyone know what I can do about it?
