Look at everything that is happening in the Middle East at the moment...Now i know America and britain are doing there bits but when are people going to stop blaming us and look at the Middle East....IRAQ...AFGHANISTAN...PAKISTAN..Even IRAN are having secret digs at Allied troops...so tell me theres no problem with the middle east and its all the allies faults? yeah right

So your saying that Sadaam Husain was ok to Use chemical weapons against people in his own country? So you'll be aware of the fact that we armed & supported this nut then? And that the chemical weapons he used against the Kurds in the north were supplied by America? I never denied the fact that Saddam needed to be removed to protect the Iraqi people, I correctly stated that Tony Blair took this country to war on the basis of a lie & that I feel he did this with full knowledge that this was a lie. Having an alternative opinion to your own doesn’t indicate ignorance or arrogance, just the ability to examine evidence & come up with my own opinion. So unless your a Kurdish or Shi'ite Iraqi you should probably wind your neck in..... mate.

right so having my own opinion which is alternative to yours deserved to be down rated did it. and yes..i was aware that we did arm and support the nutter. The same as we armed and supported the Mujhadeen is Afghanistan. Show me proof the chemical weapons were supplied by America......
And ok you 'beleive' that Tony Blair took the country to war on a lie he knew about, well i beleive otherwise.
Basically we both have our own,very different opinions both faced on fact and beleif.
Im interested to know how you feel about the war in Afghanistan?
Also i would just like to say that i have felt for the past year that it is time that Allied forces left Iraq...

Not me who dr'd you buddy I don’t ever do that. I'm sorry to say I don’t have proof about the chemical weapons, only what was reported on the news & on Panorama at the time of the invasion. This was reported by BBC News, Panorama & if I recall the Times.
As to the war in Afghanistan I totally supported the invasion, the Taliban were & are lunatics & need to be gotten rid of. I do, however, feel that the distraction of Iraq has hindered progress in Afghanistan & allowed the Taliban to return. This is one of those 'agree to disagree' questions.

Just for the record, I did visit Iraq during Sadaam's rule. I also know that the first person to use gas on the Kurdish population was Winston Churchill.
Iraq is a state that was created by the British, it installed a ruler that they felt would agree with them, and when he turned against them, they, and the US sponsored a street-thug named Sadaam Hussein to assassinate him. When he failed in this attempt, he was taken to the US for protection, and when the ruler was eventually got rid of, they installed Sadaam as the new ruler of Iraq, armed and trained his troops for action against Iran and supported him until he dared to refuse to help them anymore.

Thats very true wolf. The safest place in the middle east for westerners was Iraq until the first Gulf War! At the end of the day there are factors and decisions been made by people far above our pay scale. we do not know even half of the truth about anything. there are so many different verisons of things that could have happened or things that could have been said. WE will NEVER know the whole truth. NEVER

What took me to Iraq? Business. I ran a computer company at that time and it was my job to travel around the world setting up offices in other countries (ah! Such a hardship! lol). However it did mean that I had to make myself aware of the political, social and cultural history and present of each country I was to set up an office in, to prevent problems with their laws or cultures.
