Help answer this question below.

My state does not have a legal separation law. How can one protect himself from any legal responsibilities. Is a spouse obligated to assist with any bills when they have been the main provider when separating.

    yes..i cant imagine any state not allowing for the proper support of a wife or a husband for that matter when the main bread winner leaves. Beyond all of that all debts will become martial debts at the time of divorce..sorry but that is just the way it is..I dont knowwhat state you are in but it should not be that difficult to google martial debts in your state.
