Question

Help answer this question below.

Why was Muhammad so adamantly against the concept of the Holy Trinity? ... and is he (Muhammad) qualified in ANY sense to make judgments on the true nature Christ Jesus? (being that he was separated from Christ Jesus by about 700 years or so)

Mohammad is a prophet from God as is Jesus and Moses. Mohammad is the last of God's Prophets.

The Quran contains the story of the Jesus from his immaculate conception until He was lifted to the sky. In Islam, Jesus is one of God's great prophets and is treated with great respect.

Also God, speaking in the Quran, made it very explicit that there's only one God who has no sons and no parents.

?So being a messenger and prophet from God gives him excellent qualifications.

Probably the same reason that so many Christians are admantly against the concept of the Holy Trinity.

And Muhammad is not qualified. I don't believe that he ever claimed authorship of the Quran...Thank you!

You Know if you were to ask Jesus what religion he was and he answered back in either Alameric or Hewbrew or even in Arabic the words that would utter from his mouth would indeed sound something like

    Issslaaaam
    thats right Islam

First I invite anyone who wants to know what the Prophet Muhammad saws said about Jesus Christ to read the writings of Hadith that contain his comments as well as to read the Chapters of the Quran that deal with him (Jesus)and his mother or even the entire Quran.(Better)

Jesus is more mentioned in the Quran than muhammad.

Jesus is recorded in the Bible to have said Before Abraham was I am (aside from what I am really means) the fact is that several hundreds of years separated Jesus from Abraham (peace be upon them both) so how could Jesus have been qualified to make any Judgements about Abraham? (Judge not lest ye shall be judged....)

Muhammad was mentioned by his actual name in the Holy Bible (Old testament) while Jesus Christ was not mentioned by his actual name in the Old Testament.
If you read Hebrew then you will know this is true.

Since the writers of the Bible were many men of which none of them were actual Prophets (Not even Jesus him self wrote of any of it)and it was written long after most the the prophets deaths even in languages such as Greek or Latin that was not spoken by most of them why should a reader of the Bible feel secure that what is read about Jesus is accurate?

The Quran was finished before the death of the Prophet Muhammad saws and is still in the original form to this day available in the original language for anyone who wants to read it unlike the varied bibles of the world.

Therefore to the person who does not believe that Muhammad was a prophet of God I have to say a couple of things:

If you being a Christian believe that he was a false prophet and with so much emphasis these days being on the islamic religion in our times why was there not ever any explicit warning against him (Muhammad) by Jesus or any other biblical prophet? So many names of villains were mentioned in the bible and so man dooms day predictions but why is Muhammad and Islam not warned against?

Since the Quran seems to be so much more accurate and untampered with compare to the Bible why would not you believe in the account of one inspired man Muhammad within his own lifetime rather than the biblical accounts of mulitple inspired persons over multiple territories and lifetimes most of whom never met Jesus nor the other persons about whom they wrote and never claimed any spritual gift or revelation?

It is a question of faith entirely but logical thinking should be used.

I think that upon the return of Jesus he cannot be a Jew who considers himself a heratic, nor a Christian who lives completely the opposite to everything that he (Jesus)lived by and stood for during his lifetime- so what do you think?

With all due respect to our Muslim brethren, Muhammad is in no way qualified to make any statments about the Trinity. I know that Muslims believe he is the Last Prophet, but we only have his word for that. There were no witnesses. He never did any miracles, and God did not speak from the sky to validate his ministry, as He did with that of Jesus. Jesus did not predict Muhammad's coming, nor did the disciples of Jesus. The writer to the Hebrews says in the opening verses "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe." There is finality in that statement. No one else was expected. Jesus was the culmination of all the prophetic teaching. The prophets Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and King David were all Jewish. They are buried in Israel. They had nothing to do with Saudi Arabia. Why would they have walked through the desert to ARabia, when the trade routes did not go there? And then why would they have walked all the way back to Israel to die and be buried? No. THey spent their lives in Israel, whether our Muslim brothers like it or not, lived their lives as Jews and were buried as Jews. Putting a mosque over their graves does not change them any more than a Mormon baptising my dead ancestors, makes them Mormons.Similary, Jesus was the fulfilment of the promises made to the patriarchs and prophets of Israel, that through Him all the world would be blessed. Sadly, I know this will inflame some, because no one is allowed to question the role of Muhammad or to investigate with open eyes the claims he made. Nor do I want to malign him as a person. I am sure he was sincere in what he believed, and he was gracious enough to christians and Jews, until they refused to follow him, then he began jihad against them, from the start. Islam does not mean peace, my friends. Islam means submission. That is the only peace recognised by Islam. Bow down and be silent.

The historical facts of record is that the Holy Trinity was not ever part of the Teachings of any of the Biblical Prophets not even Jesus Christ.

It is well known among the scholars that this belief rooted in non Jewish and Non Christian cultures became adopted into Christianity and was forced to be accepted by the sword litterally!
Putting and end to the differences of oppinion and reading of the various Gospels that were excluded from the present day Bible of either Catholic or the king James Version.

Jesus never taught a Trinity as never did his blood Brother James nor his Mother mary, nor his Grand parents nor did moses nor Abraham...

Facts are facts whether we like them or not!!!!

Jesus never caled him self Jesus nor did he call himself the name Christ.
Simon never called him self Peter and Paul never was a diciple of Jesus Christ.

Jesus and his followers never called them selves Christians during their life time.

This occured later in the the places like Turkey and Syria long after they had died off.

But if you want to raise up the name of Jesus, no need it is already raised up in the Quran to the extent that muslims all over the world love Jesus and are waiting for his return without ever have ever seen seing a Holy Bible.

Better still you can raise up his name by raising up the morality of his religion as there are many discussions among Christians that I happen to hear about the lack of morality in Modern Christiandom.

Every religion has a dark spot so that is not surprising but it seems to me that some (not all) Christians do not care much about the lack of morality of Modern Christians as long as they are busy telling muslims to convert.

Charity begins at home and we must remove the 2x4 out of our own eyes before we try to get a spec out of our neighbors eyes.

No offense inteneded and none taken either I hope that what I said was sensible and suitable as well as useful and may God forgive me if I have erred.

    The Trinity Doctrine Is Pagan

    By: Pastor G. Reckart, Pastor

    http://jesus-messiah.com/apologetics/catholic/trinity.html

    Comment:
It is interesting to note that there were bishops during the first three hundred years of the Church that were teaching as the Muslim believes that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet and teacher!! It was only after the conversion of Emperor Constantine that he was the one to call and introduce the doctrine of the Trinity. He a convert to Christianity who knew nothing of this religion introduced a paganistic concept that goes back to Babylonian times.

    ===

If belief in the Trinity was such a necessary condition for being a Christian, why didn’t Jesus teach and emphasize it to the Christians during his time? How were those followers of Jesus considered Christians without ever hearing the term Trinity?

Had the Trinity been the spinal cord of Christianity, Jesus would have emphasized it on many occasions and would have taught and explained it in detail to the people.

Remember that Jesus (PBUH) had spoken openly to the world and spoke nothing in secret as he said in the bible:

“Jesus answered him, "I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together; and I spoke nothing in secret.”[John 18:20]
    =======

Where did Jesus say I am the Second God in Trinity?.... NONE

FACT: There is no word "Trinity" in the Bible in any version of any language!

""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"
Jesus in this verse is clearly giving exclusivity to GOD Almighty when he said "alone".

If Jesus was truly part of GOD Almighty and/or the trinity lie was true, then Jesus, to say the least, would not have said that.
    =======

The Origins of the Trinity Doctrine
    .
The New Encyclopedia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropedia, Vol. X, p. 126.

    According to the Catholics themselves....
The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.
    .
John L. McKenzie, S.J., in his Dictionary of the Bible, says: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of ‘person’ and ‘nature’ which are G[ree]k philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and ‘substance’ were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.” —(New York, 1965

In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

According to the Nouveau Dictionnaire Universel, “The Platonic trinity, itself merely a rearrangement of older trinities dating back to earlier peoples, appears to be the rational philosophic trinity of attributes that gave birth to the three hypostases or divine persons taught by the Christian churches. . . . This Greek philosopher’s [Plato, fourth century B.C.E.] conception of the divine trinity . . . can be found in all the ancient [pagan] religions.”—(Paris, 1865-1870), edited by M. Lachâtre, Vol. 2, p. 1467.

    JESUS-IS-MUSLIM

The Story of Jesus & His Mother (peace be upon them)
    In the Noble Quran

    [The Noble Quran 3:35-64]:
003.035 (Remember) When a woman (wife) of Imran said: My Lord! surely I vow to Thee what is in my womb, to be devoted (to Thy service); accept therefore from me, surely Thou art the Hearing, the Knowing.
003.036 So when she brought forth, she said: My Lord! Surely I have brought it forth a female-- and Allah knew best what she brought forth-- and the male is not like the female, and I have named it Mariam (Mary), and I commend her and her offspring into Thy protection from the accursed Shaitan (Satan).
003.037 So her Lord accepted her with a good acceptance and made her grow up a good growing, and gave her into the charge of Zakariya; whenever Zakariya entered the sanctuary to (see) her, he found with her food. He said: O Mariam! whence comes this to you? She said: It is from Allah. Surely Allah gives to whom He pleases without measure.
003.038 There did Zakariya pray to his Lord; he said: My Lord! grant me from Thee good offspring; surely Thou art the Hearer of prayer.
003.039 Then the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: That Allah gives you the good news of Yahya (John) verifying a Word from Allah, and honorable and chaste and a prophet from among the good ones.
003.040 He said: My Lord! when shall there be a son (born) to me, and old age has already come upon me, and my wife is barren? He said: even thus does Allah what He pleases.
003.041 He said: My Lord! appoint a sign for me. Said He: Your sign is that you should not speak to men for three days except by signs; and remember your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and the morning.
003.042 And when the angels said: O Mariam! surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the world.
003.043 O Mariam! Keep to obedience to your Lord and humble yourself, and bow down with those who bow.
003.044 This is of the announcements relating to the unseen which We reveal to you; and you were not with them when they cast their pens (to decide) which of them should have Mariam in his charge, and you were not with them when they contended one with another.
003.045 When the angels said: O Mariam, surely Allah gives you good news with a Word from Him (of one) whose name is the '. Messiah, Isa (Jesus) son of Mariam, worthy of regard in this world and the hereafter and of those who are made near (to Allah).
003.046 And he shall speak to the people when in the cradle and when of old age, and (he shall be) one of the good ones.
003.047 She said: My Lord! when shall there be a son (born) to I me, and man has not touched me? He said: Even so, Allah creates what He pleases; when He has decreed a matter, He only says to it, Be, and it is.
003.048 And He will teach him the Book and the wisdom and the Torah and the Injeel (Gospel).
003.049 And (make him) a messenger to the children of Israel: That I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I determine for you out of dust like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with Allah's permission and I heal the blind and the leprous, and bring the dead to life with Allah's permission and I inform you of what you should eat and what you should store in your houses; most surely there is a sign in this for you, if you are believers.
003.050 And a verifier of that which is before me of the Torah and that I may allow you part of that which has been forbidden t you, and I have come to you with a sign from your Lord therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me.
003.051 Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path.
003.052 But when Isa (Jesus) perceived unbelief on their part, he said: Who will be my helpers in Allah's way? The disciples said: We are helpers (in the way) of Allah: We believe in Allah and bear witness that we are submitting ones (Muslims).
003.053 Our Lord! We believe in what Thou hast revealed and we follow the messenger, so write us down with those who bear witness.
003.054 And they planned and Allah (also) planned, and Allah is the best of planners.
003.055 And when Allah said: O Isa (Jesus), I am going to terminate the period of your stay (on earth) and cause you to ascend unto Me and purify you of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection; then to Me shall be your return, so I will decide between you concerning that in which you differed.
003.056 Then as to those who disbelieve, I will chastise them with severe chastisement in this world and the hereafter, and they shall have no helpers.
003.057 And as to those who believe and do good deeds, He will pay them fully their rewards; and Allah does not love the unjust.
003.058 This (which) We recite to you of the communications and the wise reminder.
003.059 Surely the likeness of Isa (Jesus) is with Allah as the likeness of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him, Be, and he was.
003.060 (This is) the truth from your Lord, so be not of the disputers.
003.061 But whoever disputes with you in this matter after what has come to you of knowledge, then say: Come let us call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and our near people and your near people, then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on the liars.
003.062 Most surely this is the true explanation, and there is no god but Allah; and most surely Allah-- He is the Mighty, the Wise.
003.063 But if they turn back, then surely Allah knows the mischief-makers.
003.064 Say: O followers of the Book (Christians & Jews)! Come to an equitable proposition between us and you that we shall not serve any but Allah and (that) we shall not associate aught with Him, and (that) some of us shall not take others for lords besides Allah; but if they turn back, then say: Bear witness that we are Muslims.

I was reading the answers as a neutral observer and I was impressed by both Muslims and Christians speaking of their respective books as the one, true, and original word of God (Allah).

The way I understand it both books are a "best guess" or approximation of what people believe as the "revealed truth".

The bible is a compilation of books selected by a committee. The Koran is a compilation of memorized text and saying compiled by Muslim scholars. Neither of them is copied from the whole and actual original text of their respective prophets. At best they are an approximation and compilation of old, stories, sayings, proverbs, and religious philosophy.

The bible is at best, philosophy handed down from previous religions.

The Koran owes much to the bible, eastern philosophy, and old Arabian wisdom.

I can think of no religion that has actual text handed down directly from its respective version of a god.

I don't want to insult anyone just to make you aware that there is a long history behind every available religious text.

No-one seems to have answered the question.
The question is, "WHY was Muhammad so adamantly against the concept of the Holy Trinity?"

1)Was Muhammad against the concept of the Holy Trinity, (since I've already filled in the identifying bits YES or NO will suffice).

    2) Why was he against it, one sentence should sum up his reason's and in your own words please. Try not to be obtuse or too clever,If the answer to 1 is No then no need to fill this in so just leave a blank line.

    3) Rant on as much as you like but leave a line between the relevant bits and the ranting (easier to ignore that way, if 2 doesn't interest or seems rubbish)

What Did Others Say About Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Let's See What Famous People Have Said About Muhammad (peace be upon him) Throughout the Centuries...

[1] His complete biography has been authenticated and circulated amongst scholars around the world starting while he was still alive and continuing up until today. One of the first examples we quote from is from the Encyclopedia Britannica, as it confirms:

(Regarding Muhammad) "... a mass of detail in the early sources shows that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were likewise honest and upright men." [Vol. 12]

[2] Another impressive tribute to Muhammad, peace be upon him is in the very well written work of Michael H. Hart, "The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History." He states that the most influential person in all history was Muhammad, peace be upon him, with Jesus second. Examine his actual words:

"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level."
[Michael H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York: Hart Publishing Company, Inc., 1978, page. 33.]

[3] According to the Quran, Prophet Muhammad was the most excellent example for all of humanity. Even non-Muslim historians recognize him to be one of the most successful personalities in history. Read what the Reverend R. Bosworth-Smith wrote in "Mohammed & Mohammedanism" in 1946:

"Head of the state as well as the Church, he was Caesar and Pope in one; but, he was pope without the pope's claims, and Caesar without the legions of Caesar, without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue. If ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by a Right Divine, it was Mohammad, for he had all the power without instruments and without its support. He cared not for dressing of power. The simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life."

[4] While we are reviewing statements from famous non-Muslims about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, consider this:

"Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images; the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?"
[Lamartine, HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE, Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp. 276-277.]

[5] And then we read what George Bernard Shaw, a famous writer and non-Muslim says:

"He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness."
[The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936]

[6] Then we found that K. S. Ramakrishna Rao, an Indian (Hindu) professor of Philosophy, in his booklet "Muhammad the Prophet of Islam" calls him the "perfect model for human life." Professor Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying:

"The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes. There is Muhammad the Prophet. There is Muhammad the Warrior; Muhammad the Businessman; Muhammad the Statesman; Muhammad the Orator; Muhammad the Reformer; Muhammad the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad the Judge; Muhammad the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero."

[7] What should we think about our prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, when someone with the worldly status such as Mahatma Gandhi, speaking on the character of Muhammad, peace be upon him, says in 'Young India':

"I wanted to know the best of one who holds today undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind... I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life."

[8] English author Thomas Carlyle in his 'Heroes and Hero Worship', was simply amazed:

"How one man single handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades."

[9] And Diwan Chand Sharma wrote in "The Prophets of the East":

"Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him"
[D.C. Sharma, The Prophets of the East, Calcutta, 1935, pp. 12]

Muhammad, peace be upon him, was nothing more or less than a human being, but he was a man with a noble mission, which was to unite humanity on the worship of ONE and ONLY ONE GOD and to teach them the way to honest and upright living based on the commands of God. He always described himself as, 'A Servant and Messenger of God' and so indeed every action of his proclaimed to be.

[10] Speaking on the aspect of equality before God in Islam, the famous poetess of India, Sarojini Naidu says:

"It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother."
[S. Naidu, Ideals of Islam, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, p. 169]

[11] In the words of Professor Hurgronje:

"The league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations." He continues, "the fact is that no nation of the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the realization of the idea of the League of Nations."

[12] Edward Gibbon and Simon Ockley, on the profession of ISLAM, writes in "History of the Saracen Empires":

"I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MAHOMET, AN APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honor of the Prophet have never transgressed the measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion."
[History of the Saracen Empires, London, 1870, p. 54]

[13] EWolfgang Goethe, perhaps the greatest European poet ever, wrote about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. He said:

"He is a prophet and not a poet and therefore his Koran is to be seen as Divine Law and not as a book of a human being, made for education or entertainment."
[Noten und Abhandlungen zum Weststlichen Dvan, WA I, 7, 32]

Yes Muhammad was adamantly against the Holy Trinity.

Because he saw it as polytheism and could not comprehend the oneness of the trinity.

If you want a laugh have a look at this freak show. The guy tries to explain it by saying Allah cannot do everything. He goes on to explain that allah can't make a tall short man, or a short tall man. Spends about 5 minutes on it. I know English isn't his first language but he obviusly never heard of North North West or the concept of South South East. Just look at his face, how he thinks he's hit pay dirt. Groucho marks had nothing on this guy.

Muhammad (Peace be upon him): BEAUTY OF CREATION

Describing the Messenger of Allah who passed by her tent on his journey of migration, Umm Ma'bad Al-Khuza'iyah said to her husband :

"He was innocently bright and had broad countenance. His manners were fine. Neither was his belly bulging out nor was his head deprived of hair. He had black attractive eyes finely arched by continuous eyebrows. His hair glossy and black, inclined to curl, he wore long. His voice was extremely commanding. His head was large, well formed and set on a slender neck. His expression was pensive and contemplative, serene and sublime.

The stranger was fascinated from the distance, but no sooner he became intimate with him, than this fascination was changed into attachment and respect.

His expression was very sweet and distinct. His speech was well set and free from the use of superfluous words, as if it were rosary of beads.

His stature was neither too high nor too small to look repulsive. He was a twig amongst the two, singularly bright and fresh.

He was always surrounded by his Companions. Whenever he uttered something, the listeners would hear him with rapt attention and whenever he issued a commandment, they vied with each other in carrying it out. He was a master and a commander.

His utterances were marked by Truth and sincerity, free from all kinds of falsehoods and lies."

Ali bin Abi Talib describing him (Muhammad peace be upon him) said :

"The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him was neither excessively tall nor extremely short. He was medium height among his friends. His hair was neither curly nor wavy. It was in between. His face was not swollen or meaty-compact. It was fairly round. His mouth was white. He had black and large eyes with long haired eyelids. His joints (limbs) and shoulder joints were rather big. He had rod-like little hair extending from his chest down to his navel, but the rest of his body was almost hairless. He had thick hand palms and thick fingers and toes.

At walking, he lifted his feet off the ground as if he had been walking in a muddy remainder of water.

When he turned, he turned all. The Prophethood Seal was between his shoulders. He is the Seal of Prophets, the most generous and the bravest of all."

    Abu Huraira said :

"I have never seen a thing nicer than the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him. It seems as if the sunlight were moving within his face. I have never seen one who is faster in pace than the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him. It seems as if the earth had folded up to shorten the distance for him. For we use to wear ourselves out while he was at full ease."

Whenever Abu Bakr saw The Messenger of Allah he would say :

"He is faithful, chosen (by Allah), and calls for forgiveness. He shines like a full moon light when it is far from dark (clouds)."

    Umar said :

"When he got angry his face would go so red that you think it were an inflected red skin-spot with pomegranate grains on both cheeks."

    Ibn al-'Abbas said :

"His two front teeth were split, so whenever he speaks, light goes through them. His neck was as pure and silvery as a neck of doll. His eyelids were long haired, but his beard was thick. His nose was high-tipped, middle- cambered with narrow nostrils. His legs were plain, straight and stretching down. His other limbs were straight too. The two hollows of his soles hardly touch the ground. When he walks away he vanishes soon; but he walks at ease. The way he walks seems similar to one who is leaning forwards and is about to fall down."

    Anas said :

"I have never touched silk, or a silky garment softer than the palm of the Prophet peace be upon him; nor have I smelt a perfume or any scent nicer than his. His sweat was pearl-like."

At the time of Mohammed the divinity of Jesus was not nearly as firm a doctrine of Christianity as it is today. There were lots of Christian branches that just considered him a great (but Human) prophet. They were tolerated but not encouraged by Rome.

But as the Roman church grew more powerful it also became less tolerant, and during the dark middle ages most such branches were persecuted to death, By the time the roman church degenerated to the point where the reformation was needed, the doctrine of the divinity of Christ was held so unanimously that the new Protestant branches had no other choice than to adopt it too.

So Mohammed was in no way remarkable in claiming Jesus wasnt divine, he merely sided with those who did not think so.

You're reading Why was Muhammad so adamantly against the concept of the Holy Trinity? ... and is he (Muhammad) qualified in ANY sense to make judgments on the true nature Christ Jesus? (being that he was separated from Christ Jesus by about 700 years or so)
