  • Yes. However, if you are talking about incest among consenting adults, then this crime does not fit the rationale behind the sex registry. Sex crimes are high recidivism crimes, which is why the sex registry was setup in the first place. That is, there is no way to ensure that a sex offender wont commit their crime again so our best defense is an informed public. A person who commits consensual incest with an adult is not likely to recidivate, and if they do, there is no benefit to society as the only people at risk are family members of the convict. Although it should be noted that most incest cases are cases involving the incest of an adult and a minor child.
