  • See your doctor about anti-depressants. (In this context, "depression" is a medical term that can mean anything from can't-function gloom to anxiety.) SSRI's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) just keep your brain from naturally re-uptaking the naturally-produced feel-good serotonin so quickly, so you don't have to worry about being drugged out and acting all lovey/spacey or anything.
  • i have depression and i read books and listen/play music. church helped me to because i have alot of friends there.
  • Personaly,I choose to do it myself.Whenever I start to think deep overwhelming thoughts I trained myself to recognise them and breake that moment,at times it was so consumming I even looked at the suicide attempt..So much energy goes into depression ,our minds can spend countless hours their, retrain yourself to convert that time into positive things such as your work, any negitivity shut down the thought and think of something completly different that makes you happy.Change the music you listen to,listen to happy tunes van morrison is good for this?{just a thought}Watch happy films..Do something good for another ,change a frown into a smile, even if if you dont feel like it at the time..Changeing your thought patterns, behavior, envokes so many hiddens attributes to your personality, makes you realise how great you are and will be!!!Most important of all dont think about the past for that is then this is now, live for each day, dont ever be afraid to cry,say how you feel,yYOU ARE IMPORTANT and most importantly LOVE YOURSELF UNSELFISHLY!!!!think positive.Wish you all the best and I hope i have helped even just a little bit?
