My serious answer is because they are achievement driven, not scientifically oriented, and risk averse. People finish college with good grades and high test scores but no particular skill yet a strong sense of entitlement. Going to law school provides what appears to be a sure route to prestige, social position and a good paying job.

I think because a major insiration whether family or friends had had to make up their minds that this is what they wanted to do. Some people just have that kind of thing in their life to give tht speacial drive. =]

They want to make too much money, although some of them deserve to make as much as they do.
