Do you like Rob Lowe's actng better on tv show "West Wing" or currently in "Brothers & Sisters"? (Or neither - or you like his films better)

LOL - well, makes it easy to choose amongst all his acting credits then. You just say "no".
Personally, think he's gotten better at his craft over the years. Doing pretty well now.

To me, "West Wing" broke ground. Excellent show. Of course, I didn't mind at all that they showed someone with MS who was competent. LOL (ok, ok .. so that was a little personal. lol)
Anyway .. great ensemble cast .. chemistry .. and yes, I believed them all too.
As for "Brothers and Sisters", while I agree they certainly don't look like siblings .. (UNDERSTATEMENT) .. I still believe there is a BOND there amongst them. So for some strange reason, it all still "works" for me. Think that's a function of their acting talents and the writing for the show. Gotta love a dysfunctional family - that "still" - even amidst outrageous things - I've come to care about.
It's Sally Field who is the anchor for me though .. both as actor and as matriarch role. Rob Lowe is considered a "heavyweight" on it as well - as is Callista Flockhart. (I loved Ally McBeal!!! - Crazy show that it was)
I think Rob Lowe's politician role was more believable on B&S because of West Wing!! :)

I have never liked Calista Flockhart for some reason. Tried to watch Ally McBeal (sp?) once but couldn't get through even one episode. She seems filled with artifice...smirky most of the time. I've always liked Sally Field but I don't believe her in this role for some reason. I did watch some episodes but never really cared about the characters..the storyline kept getting spacey .. and some of the acting/actors tended to go "over the top" on occasion...just my opinion of course. :)

No worries, Rosie. I agree about "over the top", by the way. In a way, it's a 2000's version of a prime time soap. Certainly one of the most dysfunctional families out there. But that's part of what I've come to enjoy. Just means my own brain is fried! LOL And somehow or other, we know even with all their "stuff", they do actually love each other and care about each other "underneath it all". Was never sure about that on "Dallas" except for Miss Ellie! LOL (But I can't use that example since I watched that too! LOL) Oh my.
And yes, Ally McBeal was certainly "out there" .. with "quirky" as an understatement. Just as with NOrthern Exposure, it had "its own audience" and they tended to be very loyal .. while others tuned in and said "huh?" lol Me? It cracked me up. :)
