The Eurostar is a TGV running between London and Paris.
The rail network in France has the TGV as the backbone (the same lines the Eurostar run over) and then has standard railways running where the TGVs don't.
I have travelled from Lyon to Paris overnight and that avoided the TGV lines.
You best line of enquiry would be to look at the Rail Europe web site which has a list of contacts from the UK

You're reading What is standard rail cars ? It is diffrent from TGV ? I am travelling from Paris to Marseille, but i find Eurostar too expensive. Is this standard rail car cheaper and where can i book online?
