All I can say is . . . losing someone to suicide really hurts - it's like no emotional pain that I have ever experienced before in my life.

Anyone who actually feels that their existence is pointless for whatever reason, is obviously clinically depressed and needs counseling and maybe some medication to stabilize their moods. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Everything in life is a struggle one way or another, but overcoming the obstacles is what makes us so strong.

Nope, sorry. The purpose of life might be to learn, I'm not altogether sure. But I do know that it's not just to get the things we want. I would suggest to 'carry on', your present hell will pass. You will no doubt be surprised by what you find out, eventually.

Suicide based on a negative outlook of things to come is not reasonable. If you don't stick around, how can you possibly know that the things you want in life are not forthcoming? Just because it seems pointless now, that is not an indication of what may come to pass. Taking ones life, when others fight to save their own, could be seen as selfish. Life is a gift. I can't see how committing suicide would be justifiable except in the mind of one who is mentally unstable.

I think it really depends on the point of view -- to someone who is hurt by someone else's suicide it will not be justifiable -- nothing really will, probably; but to the person who actually feels this, it makes sense to them whether they're actually right in thinking so or not.

I don't believe in suicide, but I really respect those that commit it. Ironically, you have to be really strong to kill yourself willingly. I still think that people shouldn't. I believe that they'll be sent straight to hell and that hell is a million times worse of a place.

if you can breathe on your own and are not a vegtable..and you are not dying of a disease with no cure then IMHO suicide is not an option..

This is a very selfish point of view , many of us do not have or lose the things and people that we love,
You have a whole lifetime to work for the things you want and of course by committing suicide you would be punishing everyone except yourself.

Your question made me wonder what 'things' could possibly be more important to you than your life. It's good that you're reaching out with this, but it sounds like you might need seem one on one professional or spiritual counselling. God bless you.
