Yes. I don't like being in complete darkness. Especially since my family is often there without me until 3, 4 or later in the morning.

As soon as we're positive there is no need to go outside again, off it goes, so usually it's after his last trip for firewood. Sometimes he turns it off when he gets home. We live out in the woods, no need to give the bears and rabbits light :-)

My outside lights are on photosensors so they remain on from dusk to dawn. They're low-wattage so they use little energy. I also have a proximity detector that lights up if a car, human, or the neighbor's cat sneaks up the driveway.

My house in the middle of my farm.
I must leave a good number of lights on.
And a night watchman too will be on duty.

It is off at night unless we are expecting someone.
However, the light above the door of the attached garage is on a light sensor and comes on at dusk - we live on a private street and the garage lights are the only street lights.

If we are expecting guests after dark or if we are going to be coming home after dark we turn on the light. Otherwise, no. :)

Yes I leave them on. I got energy efficient light bulbs to cut down the bill. A burglar wont come to a well lit home and risk being seen.
