    Different ways of thinking...

In most religious terms, Sunday was the last day of creation, the day of rest.

In business terms, Sunday is considered the first day of the week calander wise; however, it's the last day of the week paycheck wise...funny that.

Wide Awake @ has closing date woo hoo

Because most people do not work on Sunday. The first day of the "work week" is therefore Monday.

right, sunday is the day of rest and most people go back to work on Monday, starting a New Week, therefore sunday is part of the weeks end, even though traditional calendars show otherwise

I say because Sunday is a week end.
Imagine a piece of string, or better yet, a line at the grocery store. There's a front end and a back end. Sunday's at the front end and Saturday's at the tail.
