Help answer this question below.

Why do people think someone getting hurt (golf ball in the crotch, falling off a roof, trampled by a bull, brides on fire, etc) is funny? as seen on America's funnest home videos.

    The Germans actually have a word for this. Its Schadenfreude. It is basically happiness at the misfortune of others. Scientist have actually shown that there is a section of the brain that reacts specifically to seeing other people, especially successful people, fall or have bad things happen to them. Psychologically it is probably a good chance that we laugh at other people who are in pain because we are glad to see that someone else has it worse than we do. That's a guess at least.

    Well a show like that, you know they were okay. Not hurt bad.
    I think in general we want to laugh because it is funny. We want to be happy and laugh it's our nature.
