Help answer this question below.
let's see if I can do the first one on the fly:
factor out the 2m first:
2m(m^4 - 6m^2 + 9) Forget that m is to the fourth power since the second term is to the second power. You can factor the trinomial in the parenthessis just like a quadratic, but with m^2 as the variable, not simply m:
2m(m^2 - 3)(m^2 - 3) ... now, if you're really pedantic, you can factor the binomials as the difference of squares:
2m(m + SQRT(3))(m - SQRT(3)(m + SQRT(3))(m - SQRT(3))
and now, if you combine terms:
2m[(m + SQRT(3))(m - SQRT(3))]^2
I'll leave the next one to another lucky fellow
Oh, let's do the second one just for fun:
First factor out 5x^3y:
5x^3y(7y^3 - 12x)
Done.

You're reading I need help on how to factor. can you answer this and explain to me how you did it? 2m^5-12m^3+18m. and this one confused me too 35x^3y^4-60x^4y. Don't worry I already turned in this assignment but did badly. I'm not cheating : )
