There isn't enough dirt in the world to cover up the past, you have to just move on. Find someone new, you never know where you could meet someone.
Because the past is what makes us who we are today.

Beause you bring those memories back in your mind.
Because it won't go in the box!
It isn't meant to be buried. Just had a line drawn under it and a new chapter started after it.
It is meant to be accepted for what it is, in the past. It may have hurt you such that you feel you can't move on, so you may need to learn to understand how it has shaped you and use the pain to be kinder to others and yourself, you may need help to do this.
Do not allow the past to prevent you from experiencing the present or from working toward a future.
I hope this helps.
