Biologists predict that the human race will cease to have what we call "races" within about 5000 years (if the species survives that long). At that point, racism will cease to exist. Sadly, some other means of sectarian rivalry will probably emerge to replace it.

If people smarten up and not make a huge deal out of skin color, then yes, it will stop... I don't think it is that hard to do either. Thinking properly isn't that hard. Easier than preventing Global Warming which is pretty easy in my opinion.

Peronaly I don't think so... Even though that is really hard to think about as we are all equal to me. But as long as there are different views and opinions there will always be contriversy.

Whatever melting pot makes racism disappear it will be replaced by hatred of some other kind. It is an inbuilt part of human nature to look for what is different in others rather than what is similar. I do not see total emergence of the races happening in the next few generations, So I must say no not for quite a while yet

As long as there are ignorant, intolerant and fearful people, racism will stick around in one form or another, unfortunately.

No, because if its not a person's color that people will downgrade it will be something else, like height or eye color. People don't treat me equal because I am short is a example.

probably not, as intolerance is something that everyone will have to deal with for as long as people like that are around. Even with todays parents teaching their kids to be tolerant of different people (whether it be gays or different colors) there are still parents having intolerance around there kids, who sometimes pick up on that, eventually becoming intolerant as well.

don't know why, but as long as there is differant color,etc, there always will be. and always has been. seems like when one is differant from the other,there's fear and wonder as to why is he differant? i believe it goes all the way back to cave-men.

Racism, discrimation, inequality still exist because we humans dont think deep enough to find out the true meaning of equivalence and brotherhood. We're so preoccupied and absent minded that we think nothing but ourselves. Our selfish desires will get us nowhere. This led to the creation of stereotypes which makes it typically easy to indentify someone by just looking at them. Racism will never end. It could only be sustained.

i suppose it is because people want to feel more powerful and more superior than others. When money cannot satisfy the desire for powerful and superiority, people turn to other things, such as racism. Racism may have developed due to the fact that people find their lives less comfortable then others. They think their problems are caused by a specific group of people, and practice racism as a way of releasing their anger. Racism ma have hiustorical ties to it. Groups that were once of the lower class may have been descriminated. This comes back to problem of desiring to be more powerful and more superior. The groups of people at that time are discriminated because the higher class want to be superior. This sense of superiority continued on through the ages. Examples of such are American Americans and the Chinese labors that worked on the railroads in Canada.

No, regardless of what people say races that are discriminated against have given reason to be discriminated against. Even if they were to do a 180 and change their behavior the damage has been done and in everyones mind they will still be catigorized under that culture.
