Help answer this question below.

My 20 year old daughter has lived with me since June 2006.She is a full time college student and I pay her child support.Can I claim her on my federal income tax return?

    it sounds like you should be able to claim her as a dependent. Make sure she doesn't claim herself though if she works anyplace.

    Any man or woman that pays child support cannot write it off, so you wouldnt be able to either, and I do believe she is too old to claim her as a dependent. That is usually for older kids with disabilities and things of that nature.
