it's okay, 512mb's decent considering most pic's are x hundred kb's 1000kb's =1mb estimating that each pic is 300kb's I'll say you'll get about 2000+ pics before you need to store them onto ur pc or disc, thus freeing up ur cam for more pics.

it i s not sufficient

I'd go with a 2gig at least honestly. Unless you turn your settings down, your pic size is going to be 2.5mb to 3mb per shot. (this is for high quality JPG, if you want to use a RAW format it will be MUCH higher) On my 10mp camera I use a 4gig

I think that's pretty low. You should go with about a 2gb card.

Not if you want to hold a healthy amount of pictures in your memory. That's all "512" means, it's sort of like your "camera film" size. 1 gig is much better.

When I take pictures I use the large format on the camera. This takes a 2.5 MB picture so a 512 MB card in it would hold approximately 200 pics before the card was full. I use a 1 G card and never have filled it before I was able to take them off.

What do you consider "good"? A typical high resolution photo will take over 1MB, so you could get around 400-500 photos on a 512 card. Movie length would also vary by resolution. As you get hundreds of images on a card, the camera will typically slow down a bit in booting and processing.
