    The answer to your question:

A potentially lethal dose of this drug is 10 grams or more, although deaths have been caused by multiple smaller doses over the course of a day totalling approximatly 4-6 grams.

Consumption of alcohol will increase the toxicity of the drug considerably, especially in large amounts. Thus it shouldn't be used to take the edge off of a hangover as the lingering alcohol residue can cause a toxic effect.

In adults, single doses above 10 grams or 150 mg/kg have a reasonable likelihood of causing toxicity. Toxicity can also occur when multiple smaller doses within 24 hours exceeds these levels, or even with chronic ingestion of doses as low as 4 g/day, and death with as little as 6 g/day.

But that person will have nausea, vomiting, and diaphoresis first.
