When I was a kid Kenner who made star wars action figures had just released the hollywood moster series and playsets. I had Frankenstein my brother had the Creature From the Black Lagoon and he could glow in the dark.

I really liked that movie, Creature from the Black Lagoon. I actually went to Silver Springs in Florida where they filmed it. The water is so crystal clear you can see all the way to the bottom and see the fish swimming around. They even put real mermaids in the water for the tourist. I also got to swim with a Manatee, it was cool.

But my favorite monster would have to be the one from Monster in the Closet. Ever seen it?

local legends were/are more my problem.skunk apes,aka bigfoot,was the big local "monster"in the Everglades.i still get spooked in deeper parts.

- I remember seeing a bigfoot movie when I was little, and remember in the movie that when bigfoot was near all the crickets and birds would stop chirping and making noise!
  After the show, my dad drove me home and when I got out of the car all the crickets and birds stopped making noise - and went screaming into the house and hid - LOL

- I KNOW THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!when i was a kid the comercial freaked me out bigtime.i would hide under the couch and my sister sang Anne Murray songs so i couldn't hear it tv.

I dont know if this really counts as a "monster" but in "the neverending story" i always thought the "nothing" was a cool thing, it could destroy everything in its path, and people didn't even know what it was.
