Help answer this question below.
Yes. Nearly all animals can swim. Sometimes, if they have never been in the water before, they may be afraid; but they are easily trained to get over their initial fear. They do not have to be taught to swim, they know how already. Normal excercise for a horse would be to swim 500 to 1500 yards. This information is from this website:

Most can.. but be aware that there are some that can't.
Yes.
Yes they can. Did your eally have to add "deep"? If something can swim, it doesn't matter if the water is 10 feet deep or 10,000 feet deep. swimming isn't affected by the amount of water underneath your feet
Yes, and sometimes better than humans.
Yes, they often use swimming as therapy. I used to swim out in the ocean with my horses and horse body surf back to the shore. Once they get used to not touching solid ground, they seem to like it as long as their nostrils don't get too much water in them. It's an awesome feeling to be sitting on a horses back and feel their buoyancy. Really awesome.
Yes.
Many people using swimming as horse "therapy."
Yes I go swimming on my horse in the river in the summer.. It's great fun and my horse loves it too!
Yup!
Well yes. Most can. I just tried swimming my horse and he was an unlucky one that can't. Try in more shallow water first
Yes horses can swim very well.
Some take longer to get used to the water than others but a horse pool is a great therapy and is used for all race and show horses.
I went swimming on horse back in the sea in Jamaica. So yeah, they can. It's fun to slide off the back and get pulled along by the tail! :D
Sure they can.
I have visual proof that they can.
yes most of them do but some are very scared to go in the water, like my horse lollypop loves to go swimming
Yes, Horses can be very strong swimmers.
Yeah 99% of horses can, infact they are better swimmers than we are. Making a horse swin is therapy for injured legs as it strenghtens the legs without having to apply weight on the horses leg, especially if its injured.
of course they can !!!!!! horses are excellent swimmers
Yes. They love swimming and happen to be very good at it! When crossing a deep river you can trust your horse to look after you. We even swim with our horses.
How many horses do you have, and what are all their names?

A buddy of mine swears that horses treat female riders differently than male riders, in that an "unbroken bronc" will NOT buck off a female rider. I don't believe him, but he's never lied to me in the 23 years I've known him. So, what're the FACTS?

In theory, could a HORSE be trained to track scents, the way a Bloodhound does? I've been told horses have an exceptional sense of smell, and if they could be trained as trackers, a searcher could RIDE their "Bloodhound" to their quarry, right?
