When you get jobs - then you sit together and go over your paychecks. Add up what you believe you will receive in one month. Take up to 30% for rent. Add an additional 20% for food. Now 1/2 the money is gone. Will you have a cell phone? Add that amount. What do you spend on entertainment? Do you have student loans? You need to figure out what all your current bills are - then add all these costs up. utilities depend on the place you get. Some are all covered - sometimes they are not. You should be able to come up with a budget and then go with that. Good luck - you can also do budgets online for free.
