Can i wear a tuxedo with a regular button-down cotton shirt with cuffs and if so, does it have to be white? dress for the event is black tie or dark suit

    Button down collar too casual wear when wear dinner jacket. Are proper shirts when wear it. High class people laugh or shudder if you dress improperly.
