Well no, I don't agree with you... at least, not if I understand what you're saying.

"Feeling good" is not the ultimate value in life. Yes, you could become a heroin addict, and if you had a sufficient supply you could feel good a lot. But your development would be arrested in many ways: you would not achieve your potential as a human being, and you would not learn the difference between *satisfaction* and *gratification*.

Gratification is basically feeling good: it's having your cravings massaged. Satisfaction is more subtle, it involves having a kind of integrity between yourself and life that goes far beyond the "pleasure" of drugs. You can only get satisfaction by undergoing the sometimes uncomfortable process of learning how to be yourself and express yourself fully.

So a person who thinks that being buzzed all the time is the ultimate life really hasn't a clue of what life is about.

hey we all use drugs, prescription ones, legal ones, even caffiene is a drug and used incorrectly or abused even caffiene can kill you...in fact caffiene is the most widely used, abused and one of the most dangerous drugs in the world. The only difference between illegal drugs and legal drugs in my opinion is the legal ones are legal...they are no more or less harmful than the illegal ones if used in moderation and safely.
I can't lie, I've tried a lot of different illegal drugs in my life, almost every one of them were a good time. I never became addicted, never missed work or sold my body or robbed anyone because of doing them, in fact I never had any problems with the drugs I tried and many of them I tried more than several times!

All in all, I think it has more to do with the person using the drugs and their ability to cope and be responsible with them. I've met more people in my life addicted to caffiene, nicotine, OTC and prescription drugs than I have EVER met that were addicted to illegal drugs. IT's all just a matter of how th elawmakers want to spin it but in the end drugs are drugs and they can be good or bad regardless of their legality.

Yes, they also help you find yourself, instead of making you go trough life looking for your purpose.

I think I agree with you in some principles, but I can't put my good name to any claim with such abhorrent grammar and spelling.
