Depends on how much you want to loose.
If you are grossly fat 2 pounds a week is a reasonable and realistic goal. Maybe even more.
If your just 10 pound over your optimal weight you better go slower. That gives you time to make a habit of the new eating regimen, and that way you are less likely to start yo-yo-ing.

I'm a 15 year old girl and weigh 138 lbs and am 5'3. Is that bad? My measurements are 37-32-40, if that helps.
