  • Of course. The death of your father while on the beaches gave rise to all who have an opinion to be able to voice whether you agree or not.
  • your father must have been a great man for sacrificing his life to allow us to enjoy the freedoms we have today. it is also inherent in humans to be respectful of others opinions if we stop to take a look back in history.
  • Yes. Your dad gave away his life on the beaches of Normandy just so that we have the freedoms. We must respect the freedom of speech of others same as all of their other freedoms as we do our own. Its the mutual respect that makes the freedoms work.
  • yes you should always be respectful of others opinions even if you don't agree with them, unless however it involves hate for another human being.
  • Respectful, but it's always ok to disagree with and/or ignore that opinion.
  • yes we should and we owe your father and people like him a debt that can never be repaid
  • We should always be respectful of everyone and their opinions even though we may disagree with them!
  • yes george!
  • Most definitely. And the more we disagree, the more respect is required. Thanks to your dad and all the others that answered when the call of war was heard.
  • Yes we should - sometimes it's hard, especially when we get into a hot topic, then it becomes even more important because if you just get down to swinging and thinking your answer is the right answer - well then you have lost the chance for a good debate. We have our freedoms today thanks to the men and women like your father. Otherwise we might all be lampshades.
  • 'opinion' iz one thin wich a persun iz entitld to... so gues if my opinion ofendz othr persunz opinion... thtz MY OPINION... tricky... right???... peace!!!
  • Yes, we should be, but we don't have to agree..thanks to your Dad and the many others who lost their lives with him..have a great day my friend.
  • Yes unless it's real stupid.
  • im not answering the question, but i want to say that i appreciate your dad
  • I respect others opinion and sometimes just agree to disagree. I would hate it if I couldn't say my opinion. I'm always saying what I say and feel, if I don't it's like I'll explode!
  • Yes you should always be respectful even if you don't agree. Opinions are like brains, everybody's got one.
  • Always respectful to everyone!
  • Definately, I vehemently disagree with some people but I'd rather debate with them and explore their opinion than blatantly shut them down. There is no need for personal attacks.
  • There's a difference between respecting a person's right to express their opinion and respecting the opinion itself. Many people don't seem to realize that. In other words, if I have an opinion that your opinion is a pile of crap, that's an opinion, too. I respect your right to express your opinion, but I don't have to respect the opinion itself.
  • Yes we should be respectful but a good discussion will have disagreements and that is one of the great things the fighting men and women of this country has done for you and me.That's why I dislike people on this site that run around a give people neg. points on something you said but don't comment as to why, to me that is disrespectful.
  • Good point. We should always respect one another even if we don't share the same view. After all, isn't that what makes the world interesting. I have learned a lot from AB and even changed my views on some things because of some well thought out good answers. Thanks to all ABers!
  • opinions...everyone is entitled to their own...And I would fight for that....but enforce it upon me....and the fight gets personal....
  • Absolutely and positively respectful. We do not have to agree with them ..but as long as they are behaving in a respectful manner..then you should follow suit. And on another note, I would like to say 'sorry' about your dad. Those were very hard times. But he died honorably and for what he believed in and you should be proud of him and I am sure you are.
  • Yes, unless their opinion is hurtful or against who you are in race or sex or anything that you cannot change.
  • Yes of course i may not like what you have to say but i will defend your right to say it, and your father and many others like him did just that
