Why do they call a cold saw a "cold saw"?

    A cold saw is: a saw that has cooling liquid applied to the blade and the material while cutting.

  • The cold saw gets its name from the way the heat generated by sawing (with the circular blade) is transferred to the debris created which allows the blade and the material to remain cold.
