When the world sees things like this, it wonders whether all Muslims are time bombs waiting to go off - whether the religion itself nurtures fanatical and murderous self-righteousness. This sort of thing is as bad as the Spanish Inquisition. There must be no tolerance of this sort of thing. If this man did this to his wife, he should be executed, swiftly, publically, and preferably with the very same sword.

I don't think only Muslim men abuse their wives. Read any newspaper and it will have at least one or more articles in it detailing the injury, rape or death of a woman at the hands of a partner. The problem is domestic violence and the fact that it isn't treated seriously enough by authorities, not Islam. It is the same problem the world over.

Yes, and people want you to believe that it is only the extremists who are bad. The culture there has not grown out of its infancy. It needs to change. Women are not chattel, children are not toys, and people who believe in other things are not bad. To behead a woman and cling to the claim of 'moderate' is more the norm than the aberration and it is time to stop tolerating such abuse as "cultural".
