I would say that if there were such a thing as sin, it would be very sinful.
He's forward-thinking and post-apocalyptic.
Totally.
I would say for a change I agree with Pope
I would say it is the best thing he has ever said. Salaam
I'll only start taking him seriously when he reverses his stand on condoms. :P
Good on him!
I feel I would get downrated calling the Poop a popey head.
Considering we didnt know what we were doing to the environment until recently, I would say he needs to reread his bible, as to what a sin is.
What about all the ones before us, who had no clue?
I don't give a damn what the pope says. He must be captain obvious, because it's apparent destroying the environment is harmful. But it's not a sin to everyone just because he made up this new rule. He just says something is a sin to keep people in check. I appreciate his attempt at "going green" though lol.
He has no credibility with me when so many of his followers are in poverty and he wears Gucci shoes. Shameful.
It's a nice gesture I suppose.... although a nicer one might have been spending some of the Vatican's US$10 billion reserves on environmental protection measures.
Perhaps during his regular chats with God he's found out that the end of days isn't imminent after all and that we might be needing this earthly realm for a while longer yet.
If its in the bible that destroying the evvironment is a sin then I agree, but as far as I know the Bible does'nt say that, in fact it says that the earth shall pass away. If there are Christians out there that know where it is the Bible let me know.
Well I believe that is more correct than not, but many would question the premise - is anything being destroyed? That seems to be the debate betwwen the two extremes. +5
I think he has every right to say what he wants as any of us do. If he wants to make it a Catholic doctrine, let him - that's how Catholicism works. If you disagree, then disagree. But I can tell you this - it's not going to make one ounce of difference.
Well I don't believe in sin per se, and certainly not as Christians see it. But if he means that it is harmful, well, then even a broken clock is accurate for one minute twice a day.
I think it's one of the few relevant things the man has said. And if there is such a thing as "sin" that one ranks up near the top. Even the so-called "lower animals" know better than to foul their own nests.
Better for him to be concerned about that than about whom consenting adults share their beds with.
