i used to have the depo vera injection every 11 weeks, which is good for us girls because it stops our periods but ive been with my bf for 10 yrs so now i dont bother

The Mirena IUD..no periods...it's great and lasts for 5 years, but insertion is a killer!

My wife is bad at taking daily pills so the pill was out of the question, but I think has the least side effects. She used the patch for over a year, and liked it, but switched to the NuvaRing at her doctors suggestion because of side effects of weight gain. The NuvaRing has been simple for her. It is a vaginal insert that is replaced 1 time a week, and the fourth week it is left out for your period. Then you start again. It does need to be refrigerated, so find a nice place where it won't be played with by the kids (if you have any). We tried the shot a long time ago, but it had some side effects of mood swings and loss of sexual appetite and that wasn't good for anybody...

Well i was recently taking the depo shot!!! (not a good idea) i also tried the patch (even worst) nothing seems to like work for me well, so now im just either using comdoms or nothing at all.

Committed lesbian relationship sorta negates the entire problem! Many years before...CONDOMS Brief stint on the pill..that didn't work well for me...too many side effects. (married and prior to HIV being "out there.") I would hope everyone having sex, especially with multiple partners or one of the partners, or both has had multiple partners...would be adding a condom to the adventure...even if you are on the pill or some other form of birth control...Herpes is forever...and AIDS will eventually kill you...Getting Pregnant is the LEAST of your worries now a days. : ( PLEASE...Have fun, be loving...BE SAFE!
